I am writing a totally unsolicited note to advise Humana of the quality of service rendered to me today by your representative, Mr. Lorenzo J. Bowie. At the end of September, I relocated to Spring, Texas, from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I have been enrolled in the Humana Gold program since my first Medicare eligibility in 2006.
As my circumstances changed, I entered the Humana Gold Plus (HMO SNP) program which, as you know, incorporates Medicaid assistance. The transfer of coverage from Louisiana thus involved the Texas Medicaid office. My daughter had worked conscientiously for months to complete the transfer of service with a few loose ends remaining.
While we were in Walmart today (Thursday, 12/13), my daughter saw a gentleman at a table with Humana signage and thought that perhaps he could just answer a few questions regarding the delays she had been encountering with the transfer. But as it turned out, Mr. Bowie was not only knowledgeable but helped to tie up the loose ends with Texas Medicaid and when we left, everything was set to go with my Humana SNP coverage on January 1, 2019.
I was so pleasantly surprised that I asked Mr. Bowie whom I should contact to let Humana know just how valuable your service outreach — such as having a cordial and competent representative available at Walmart — is to a customer like me, a 77-year-old woman trying to get my healthcare coverage in order.
Again, thanks to Mr. Bowie and to Humana for giving me peace of mind regarding my coverage. Do accept my sincere best wishes for a blessed holiday season for you and your families! Sincerely,
